What happens to my joint account when one of the account holders dies?

If one of the owner's of the account dies, the remaining secondary holder will become the primary account holder. We will do this automatically upon you notifying us of the death of the joint holder.

You can notify us of a death by sending us an original Death Certificate or a certified copy to the following address:
