How can I set up two factor authentication?

When you set up online access with us we will send you a one time code to verify you. This will add a security key to your browser. The security key makes it easier for you to log in and at the same time provides an additional layer of protection for you. It does this by storing your username and password in an encrypted format. We won’t be able to personally identify you with this information as we won’t know what your password actually is, but the key will enable us to recognise that it’s you when you next log in from that same device.

This means if you logged in from another device we will send you a one-time code your mobile, providing a second step in authenticating yourself.

It isn’t mandatory. If you choose not to allow the security key, you will need to go through additional log in processes every time you log in to the web.
