How do I transfer to another company or provider?

The best thing to do is contact the company you have chosen. Once they have your transfer application, they will get in touch with us directly and ask us to move your investments across to them. Please remember that you cannot transfer part of an ISA – it must be the whole account.

Of course, we’ll be sorry to see you go, and we know it’s important to shop around – that’s why we’ve made sure our service suits a full range of investors. With Fidelity you have access to more than 3,000 funds, as well as our new share dealing service. We also offer extensive guidance on where to invest, and regular market updates and commentary, plus a wide selection of investment calculators.

In addition, our charges are among the most competitive on the market. We believe our inclusive Service Fee offers excellent value and, unlike some companies, we do not charge for:

  • Buying, selling or switching between funds
  • Reinvesting income from funds
  • Electronic transfers
  • Paper statements

Transfers take about 30 days on average. You will not be able to deal on your investments for some or all of this time and, if your investments have to be sold as part of the process, you may miss out on market growth.

You will receive a quarterly statement as usual after the transfer, and there may be further interest or dividend payments into your account.

If you’re thinking of moving because you’re not pleased with us, we’d appreciate one more chance to discuss the issue with you. Please call us on 0333 300 3350 or log in and send us a secure message, and we’ll do our best to put things right.
